Gautam Buddha was born 6th-4th century B.C. Lumbini, near Kapilavastu, Nepal, the founder of Buddhism. Siddhartha, who later became known as "Buddha- or the Enlightened one" was a prince who forsook the comforts of a palace to seek enlightenment.
